We all know bows are all the rage this year, and this chic wedding editorial at the Simon Venue in Boulder, Colorado provides the perfect inspiration for couples who want to embrace the bow trend without sacrificing timeless elegance.
A fantastic creative team, headed by Amber at Rita Rose Events, put together this beautiful wedding editorial–be sure to read to the end of the post to check out these talented Colorado wedding vendors!
Chic Wedding Inspiration for Lovers of the Bow Trend
This wedding editorial is inspired by bows, complemented by chic black and white design elements and modern style for the model couple. There’s an age old debate over embracing trends at weddings, and I’m here to tell you it is entirely possible to have the best of both worlds! Unquestionably, this wedding design is the perfect example of how to embrace the trends of the day AND enjoy timeless and elegant design.
Bows are subtly incorporated throughout the wedding design to provide a thematic through line in the design without completely overtaking the event. Simple black bows added to the place cards elevated a bespoke letterpress menu designed by the incredible Mikayla at Montana Paper Co.
Modern Bridal Fashion
The bride, Anh, wore a stunning satin gown with beautiful drapery that added a modern touch to the overall design. She wore sparkly bow earrings for a statement piece that stood out against the incredible Hollywood waves in her hair. Accompanied by glowing makeup by the team at Candelaria Beauty, the earrings brought an element of texture and vibrance to the bridal look.
Adding Trendy Elements to the Wedding Cake
Another incredible way to incorporate the bow trend was this lovely all-white wedding cake by Cak the Bakery. This simple three tier cake brought subtle drama with a large bow wrapped around the middle tier of the cake. It is flanked on either side by sophisticated silver candelabras, spruced up by black lace bows, in like fashion.
I think a wedding cake is one of the most fun ways to incorporate a trend in a wedding design. They’re a centerpiece of the reception decor, and cake-cutting photos are always so nostalgic! Adding in a trend of the times to your wedding cake is a great way to make those cake-cutting photos even more timely and nostalgic. Plus, they’re just so fun!
Chic Wedding Inspiration for the Perfect Textured Tablescape
An incredible chandelier centerpiece surrounded by florals was the star of the show. Together with traditional tapered candles, the lighting from the chandelier was especially romantic! Without a doubt, the flowers by Alison at Eleven Blooms made everything more magical!
The monochromatic white is broken up by pops of black from blackberries and grapes. I loved the strings of blackberries draped over the top of the chandelier. It was the perfect subtle nod to the bows in the rest of this chic wedding inspiration! The dramatic textures are elevated by the simple addition of a textured white tablecloth to be sure.
An absolute moment for this flash portrait. We love to see it.
The all-white bridal bouquet is brought to life by textures and unique flower choices! I loved the elongated shape of the bouquet too.
