Back in May I had the honor of photographing Danielle and Reid’s beautiful Palo Duro Canyon destination wedding, and despite the rainy weather, it was such a genuine and special celebration of their relationship.
Danielle actually found me on Facebook, and when I saw the “destination wedding” box checked on her inquiry form I think I might have actually screamed! This was the first wedding I’ve ever traveled for!
When I met Danielle and Reid at their engagement session at White Rock Lake, I was struck by just how ~in love~ they are. These two are the real deal! They met at Abilene Christian University, where they both played sports.
When I traveled to Amarillo for their Palo Duro Canyon destination wedding, Danielle and I had talked about the likely chance of rain. The day before the wedding, it POURED. The good news about that was that the canyon was soooo green! (And y’all know how I love greenery)
On the day of the wedding, it was sprinkling on and off, and the forecast called for rain at the time of the ceremony. Luckily, we had a great back up plan and everything went smoothly! Despite the weather, the ceremony was so beautiful. With the canyon behind them and the rain pitter-pattering on the tin roof above us, Danielle and Reid tied the knot with their closest friends and family around them.
