Lizzy and Brandon’s Arkansas autumn wedding was such a special one, and I’ll never be over it.
I was recommended to Lizzy by one of her cousins, but actually I know almost her entire family! It’s such a weird coincidence; I know them all in different ways–one side I know from church at home, another from church at school, and another is my boss at work! Lizzy’s side of the family was the only one I hadn’t met yet, so it was so fun to travel to Arkansas to meet her and Brandon.
Though I only actually met her on her wedding day, by the time the day finally came, Lizzy felt like an old friend. She is so joyful and completely trusted me with the photographs. The wedding day was also the first time I met Brandon, and he and Lizzy are truly the perfect match. They are both such kind and gentle people, and their love for each other is so visible.
The wedding itself was absolutely beautiful. With gorgeous autumnal colors everywhere and the sun peeking through the clouds just in time for portraits, it was a perfect day. Lizzy told me while she was getting ready that she wanted to look like a forest queen on her wedding day (so iconic), and boy did she deliver!!
One of the coolest details from the wedding was Lizzy’s amazing handmade veil. When we had a phone call a couple of months before the wedding, she told me it was probably the most important piece of the wedding for her. Her sweet grandma handmade the whole veil, embroidering beautiful flowers into the lace. The pieces of the lace were from both Lizzy and Brandon’s mom’s wedding dresses! Cue the tears!!
Get ready for lots of forest inspired colors in this etherial Arkansas autumn wedding!
